Our world and Society seems to have drifted into a vacuum where truth and lies are hard to differentiate.
George Orwell, a noted author and poet once said, “A Lie isn’t the truth just because we believe it!” AND “The more society drifts from the truth the more it fails to believe it!”
Mr. Orwell was born in 1903 and died in 1950. He had no knowledge or foresight of the 21st century. Or did he?
It would seem that his statements very much apply to the world in which we all live.
According to social media. Truth is lies, and Lies are truth. Making it very difficult for many folks to tell the difference.
The Bible tells us that the truth is the core attribute of God. The bible also tells us to discern what the truth really is.

So as Jesus said truth lies with Him. Our truth is based on what the Bible teaches and we should accept all scripture as truth.
Now, understanding all scripture, that’s another thing altogether. But! The truth is simple, the facts are clear and Jesus and the scripture do not lie.
The words “I am the truth” tells us that He is the ultimate, divine truth, fulfilling Old Testament teachings and embodying the standard of righteousness.
In Ephesians Chapter 4 Paul tells us exactly what the truth is. Paul also advised us that Christ has given each faithful believer gifts and talents.
One of the issues that should draw us together is our Faith in Christ and create the unity of believers necessary to share the message of salvation.

Therefore, knowing the truth, believing the truth and sharing the truth should be the mark of a faithful Christian.
Today’s world is so full of lies and half truths that we must be extremely wise to make sure we as Christians stay true to the teaching of scripture.
As much as our understanding allows If someone believes they know exactly what scripture says from Genesis 1:1 to Revelation 22:21 I think they may be mistaken. Certainly Christ will reveal Himself and the truth to us as we read the scripture. But to know it all is highly unlikely.
This then requires Christians to keep reading, praying, and asking Christ to reveal His truth to each of us. So that we are firmly grounded in the Truth of God which makes it difficult for the lies of the world to influence us.
