Another week has passed and here I sit, contemplating the past week, in front of my keyboard. A week of celebration.
I finished my 85th year of living and my family and friends went over the top to celebrate. Even the last hymn sing until September included a birthday celebration.
As I thought about the joy of celebrating a birthday (or not) depending on how you feel. It reminds us of how fleeting time is on this earth.
On the other hand we as Christians have a lot to celebrate.
Our Christian Faith to begin with. Christianity is a celebration of Love and sacrifice that brings us the saving knowledge outlined in John 3:16.

25 words to bring meaning and celebration to anyone’s life that accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Savior.
- Our Joy of living
- Our friends
- Our Family members
- Our Chapel meeting place
- socializing over meals
- Our Men’s and Ladies fellowship meetings with prayer and Bible Study.
- And the finest Christian celebrations of all, Christmas and Easter.
Christians have so much to celebrate. While the world has much to offer, nothing compares to the value of our Christian Faith.
We enjoy life, even when the ailments and troubles of life come along. Why? Because our Faith gives us the joy of contemplating our eternity with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ.
As I sit here, we have just come home from attending and participating in our Keenagers luncheon (Seniors in Disguise).
Our numbers slipped back to 25 after a few folks had to cancel, but what a joy to have a meal together, sing hymns, fellowship in conversation.
A short devotion was shared by our visitor David Rae and his wife Diane. David reminded us that “God is Able”. It was a time of celebration.
David also reminded us that Elim Chapel in Courtenay would be celebrating their 100th year of existence on June 28th.
Brae Road has passed 104 and what a thrill to know that Brae Road had a small part in helping Elim Chapel begin its work.
With all that in mind let’s celebrate our Christian Faith, our friends, and our Hope and assurance of Eternal Life.
God Bless each of you as you Live for Jesus every day, using His life as a template for living and trusting in Jesus for your day to day existence and blessings.
