Musings on God’s Word
Been a lot on my mind this busy week but read an article about something that I think is lacking in our society. That being “Character”. What is Character? According to the English Webster’s dictionary it applies to one’s qualities or lack of. We see so many weak characters. What does it take to have a strong character with good behavior, high moral values and above all the ability to seek the high ground on everything. We as Christians need to display good character in order to be able to share the message of Salvation and back the words up with actions.
Romans 5:3-4
- And not only that, but we also glory in tribulations, knowing that tribulation produces perseverance;
- and perseverance, character; and character, hope.
So we can see that the trials of life, the difficulties we face and the problems we overcome will produce character. God allows us to go through those things He trusts we’ll develop character and that character will be strengthened. Let us not grow weary in doing well but hold on to the hope that is within us that God is our guide, our helper and our strength no matter what comes our way. Our hope is in Him and the lessons he teaches us.

Chapel Update.
- The kitchen is nearly complete. Only needs the back splash on the rear wall to complete.
- Now picking up odds and ends of supplies for the kitchen and hoping we’ll have all we need for Keenagers on the 16th of February.

We have 46 signed up to come. - Some set up is required as well as making coffee, tea and putting out cutlery etc., on the tables.
- Anyone willing to come early on Thursday the 16th please let me know.
- I will be meeting with the caterer at 2:30 Friday afternoon at the chapel to put the final touches to the food menu.

Special Celebration Service
When: March 19, 2023
Where: 321 Brae Road Duncan BC
- This will be a service to Praise God for our refurbished building and to challenge us as to moving forward and using this valuable asset for God’s service.
- Our speakers will be Mark Andrade, Mike Millard, Chet McArthur and Dale Stewart.
- The service will be about an hour and a half long and will be followed by a finger food luncheon, Sandwiches, cold plates of veggies, meat and other finger foods.
- We invite all who are interested to come. If you don’t attend on a regular basis please let me know if you will be coming.
- There will be guests from the contracting crew and others as well
