This week has been a sad week in the Peake household. A young man, family friend, not yet 50, passed away after years of drug & alcohol abuse which resulted in numerous health problems. He was a school mate of our son David and they were close friends since school. Efforts were made to point him to Christ, bibles given, salvation messages shared. Sadly we are unable to say if he accepted Christ as his Savior. We must all be diligent in our efforts to share the Salvation message with friends and family alike. This young man’s passing has been difficult for David and the rest of us. We have a responsibility to God and to ourselves to make known the message of Salvation to everyone we know.
I think the following scripture says it best.

Scripture

Matthew 28: 18-20

All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me. Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to obey everything that I have commanded you.

1 Kings 8: 61

Let your heart therefore be perfect with the Lord our God, to walk in His statutes, and to keep His commandments, as at this day. Psalm 19:14 says Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Psalm 19:14

Let the words of my mouth, and the meditation of my heart, be acceptable in thy sight, Oh Lord, my strength, and my redeemer.

Chapel Update

Chapel repairs are coming along quite nicely. However, we are sharing workers with other projects so on site workers are somewhat inconsistent. However, the superintendent has indicated he feels we will be in by July 10th, I am hoping so but won’t be terribly surprised if it’s July 17th. According to the schedule, carpets are supposed to be put down beginning on Monday the 27th. Most of the paint is done and the drywall is nearing completion in the sanctuary.  Most of the furniture is now refinished and ready for use. All of this, of course, is in God’s hands.

God’s blessings on you all.
