Musings on God’s Word
Recently the news has been presenting stories all about AI, (artificial intelligence). What are we facing? More change in a world that seems to revolve around constant change. At least in the secular world. For me, I have come to the point in my life that while the world is an ever changing place. I, on the other hand, find myself less and less interested in the world’s change. For me my Faith in God is the constant and my Lord is the foundation on which my life revolves. This is the message I desire to share all who come across our paths.
I remember a chorus we used to sing in young peoples.
Yesterday, Today, Forever
(click to listen)
All may change but Jesus never, Glory to His name.
Glory to His name, Glory to His name.
All may change but Jesus never, Glory to His name.
Man is still the fickle being he always was. Grasping at straws to try and find meaning in His life. Life only has meaning in Jesus Christ our Savior.
The chorus comes from –
Hebrews 13:8
- Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and today, and for ever.
According to God’s word, in a world of change the only constant is Jesus Christ.
We are coming up to a time of year where we celebrate the birth of Jesus. This reminds us of how important it is to hold on to our Salvation in a world running in circles in an effort to satisfy. The commercials on TV keep telling us that if we buy this or that or go here or there we will be satisfied. Nothing could be further from the truth. We live in a time when our focus needs to be on God’s goodness and steadfastness. How can we pass this on to the world? In thoughtfulness, word and deed. We must make every effort to share our message of hope with as many as we can. The hopelessness that exists in the world is seen in the turning to all types of drugs to satisfy. Drugs and all the rest of the world’s temptations have no satisfaction, just a hold on lives.
Psalm 16:11
- Thou wilt shew me the path of life: in thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore.
Is there anything more worth living for? Accumulation of wealth, power, or influence will provide nothing more than a short term sense of satisfaction with the end being eternity without God.
Psalm 19: 7
- The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul; the testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple.”
That verse reminds me that the Lord is Perfection and with that perfection He makes even the simple wise. Praise the Lord.
God’s richest blessing on you all
